About the Artist

If you grow up in rural Indiana you have to travel a little to get to the beach, ANY beach.  Maybe that explains Cherie's passion for the water and everything in and around it, we always seem to want what we can't have. Moving to the Chicago's North Shore a few years ago, buying a sailboat, and living just a few miles from Lake Michigan has been the realization of a least part of her childhood dreams. One of her other dreams has come true as well, the opportunity to create beautiful water color paintings of the seascapes and landscapes she finds so inspirational.  Cherie has always been an artist, even when raising a family and running her successful interior design practice for more than twenty five years, she was always drawing and painting.  Now that the kids are grown and have kids of their own, Cherie is painting full time.
